RIVVAL are looking for a new Product/Development Engineer to look after new product development
RIVVAL Limited is a specialised provider of Railway Engineering and Supplies. The company is involved in a wide range of activities including design, manufacture, installation and supply of railway signalling, permanent way and traction & rolling stock products.
Primarily dealing with Train Operating organisations the company is currently going through a business expansion plan and have key opportunities within its engineering activities.
The company has recently been awarded the North East Enterprise of the Year award 2019 and National Runner-up competing against a wide range of companies and industries within the North East and National regions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities within the design process: -
Organise, plan and manage R&D projects and product development activity;
Undertake 3D CAD design and FEA analysis throughout the design process;
Project manage projects to meet the business goals such as lead-times, resource allocation and improvement areas;
Preparation of evaluation and accreditation for a market ready product;
Interface with Customers and convert their requirements into designs and product realisation;
Review competitor and other market products and develop innovative mapping;
Maintain and document the design process in line with company standards;
Co-ordinate supplies and external requirements to deliver market leading products;
Undertake all aspects of product research and development from concept to market;
Subject to a successful project there is potential for the candidate to obtain a longer term contract within the business.
