Weld Alignment Inspection Gauge

Developed to enable Weld Inspectors to check the alignment of welds both vertically and horizontally (squareness across the foot). The gauge can be used on either side of the weld collar. Produced from aluminium for lightness, and with stainless steel contact nibs for durability. Once in position the gauge ‘self supports’ by means of an integral magnet and clamping screw. The gauge set is designed to show the permissible limits for vertical alignment and alignment across the foot. The contact nibs are positioned at a height which is the maximum allowable for burring at the collar relative to the foot edge.
