Rolling Contact Fatigue Grinding Gauge Set

The Rolling Contact Fatigue Grinding Gauge Set is used to measure accurately the rail vertically and the gauge corner at 45º. Operators can now evaluate quickly the amount of material that is removed during the grinding process, either from the head of the rail or from the gauge corner and therefore help to eliminate the risk of removing too much material. The three gauges are produced from stainless steel to prevent corrosion with clear machine engraved graduations. Each gauge utilises the same datum point on the rail section, enabling results to be easily re-checked / verified. Gauge 1: Produces a true vertical height measurement. Gauge 2: Rolling Contact Fatigue Gauge Type-A measures at 45º on the gauge corner Gauge 3: Type-B measures at 45º on the gauge corner where there is limited space i.e. point sets or where the foot on the stock rail has been partly machined away
